Situated in Cluj-Napoca (in the historic and legendary region of Romania known as Transylvania), LIFE Medical Center is HealthBridge Global's current partnership project. LIFE Medical Center is a development project of the ProVita Clinic Foundation of Romania - a non-profit Romanian Christian healthcare organization that has been active in Romania for 14 years. HealthBridge Global made an initial 3-year commitment to do all we can to help see this project completed.

In general, LIFE Medical Center will be a women's and children's clinic, with the centerpiece being a birth-center. LIFE Medical Center will be unlike any other environment in Romania in which women can experience the process of birth. The birth-center concept will introduce numerous unique ideas to the way maternity care is approached in Romania and will have the result of restoring privacy and family involvement to the birthing process. Because of the values behind the project, it will also serve to instill both dignity and value for human life; both that of the mother's and of the child's.

In addition to baby delivery services, LIFE Medical Center will provide pediatric, internal medicine, routine gynecology, sonography, laboratory, laparoscopic surgery, emergency C-section, and Neo-Natal Intensive Care services. LIFE Medical Center will offer all services to patients at a fair price. This will allow the clinic to be sustainable and provide on-going financial support to the non-profit work of the ProVita Clinic Foundation. The center will offer financial help and scholarships to those in need who qualify.

To summarize, LIFE Medical Center will offer women a caring and compassionate alternative for birthing, while also spurring the non-profit work of the Foundation foward...all in a sustainable manner. Research has indicated that women's healthcare, specifically maternity care, is one of the most un-changed areas of Romania's healthcare system. It's the area that shows the greatest need for practical improvment. It also provides great potential for impacting mothers and families with the life-changing message of new spiritual LIFE, as the staff and leadership demonstrate to patients the love and compassion of Christ in every interaction. The word "LIFE" in the center's name, holds deep meaning and value for the local Romanians who are developing this project, and we are standing with them.
